State House District 6 is one of Maine’s 151 State House districts, as drawn in the 2021 redistricting plan and in effect since the 2022 election. Its population was 8,508 in the 2020 Census.
It takes in 15 places, the largest of them Mapleton, Mars Hill, Littleton, Monticello, and Blaine. It is represented in the Maine House of Representatives by Rep. Donald Ardell (R-Monticello).
In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump carried the district with 71% to 27.7% for Kamala Harris. That was a Republican margin of 43.3 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Paul LePage carried the district with 67.3% to 31% for Janet Mills. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Demi Kouzounas carried the district with 47.8% to 43.6% for Angus King (Unenrolled). On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the 2nd most Republican of 151 State House districts.
