Lisbon is a town in Androscoggin County, Maine, incorporated in 1799 as Thompsonborough. It has an estimated 9,919 residents (2025), compared with 9,711 in the 2020 Census.
It is part of Congressional District 2, State Senate District 17, State House District 97 (89% of residents), State House District 98 (11% of residents), and County Commissioner District 4, in the Lewiston–Auburn region.
In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump carried Lisbon with 54.3% to 43.5% for Kamala Harris. That was a Republican margin of 10.8 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Paul LePage carried Lisbon with 52.3% to 46% for Janet Mills. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried Lisbon with 50.2% to 39.1% for Demi Kouzounas.
