Franklin County Commissioner District 3 is one of Franklin County’s five commissioner districts under the current plan (2021, with the 2024 update). Its population was 5,714 in the 2020 Census.

It takes in 10 cities, towns and plantations, the largest Rangeley, Strong, Phillips, and Eustis.

In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump carried the district with 60.3% to 37.1% for Kamala Harris. That was a Republican margin of 23.2 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Paul LePage carried the district with 56.1% to 41.6% for Janet Mills. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried the district with 47% to 44.8% for Demi Kouzounas. On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the 13th most Republican of 60 county commissioner districts.

As of March 7, 2026, Franklin County Commissioner District 3 had 4,611 active registered voters: 21.7% Democrats, 40.9% Republicans, 32.7% unenrolled, and 4.2% Green Independents.
