It takes in 12 cities, towns and plantations, the largest Unity, Palermo, Searsmont, and Burnham.
In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump carried the district with 55.5% to 41.3% for Kamala Harris. That was a Republican margin of 14.2 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Paul LePage carried the district with 51.7% to 46.1% for Janet Mills. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried the district with 44.1% to 40.9% for Demi Kouzounas. On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the 19th most Republican of 60 county commissioner districts.
