In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump carried Kennebec County with 50.2% to 47.5% for Kamala Harris. That was a Republican margin of 2.7 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Janet Mills carried Kennebec County with 51.1% to 47% for Paul LePage. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried Kennebec County with 50.7% to 37.9% for Demi Kouzounas. On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the 8th most Democratic of 16 counties.
