State House District 47 is one of Maine’s 151 State House districts, as drawn in the 2021 redistricting plan and in effect since the 2022 election. Its population was 9,496 in the 2020 Census.

It takes in Wiscasset, Jefferson, Whitefield, and Alna. It is represented in the Maine House of Representatives by Rep. Wayne Farrin (D-Jefferson).

In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump carried the district with 49.5% to 47.8% for Kamala Harris. That was a Republican margin of 1.7 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Janet Mills carried the district with 49.4% to 48.5% for Paul LePage. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried the district with 50.5% to 38.4% for Demi Kouzounas. On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the 61st most Republican of 151 State House districts.
