State House District 48 is one of Maine’s 151 State House districts, as drawn in the 2021 redistricting plan and in effect since the 2022 election. Its population was 8,903 in the 2020 Census.

It takes in Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Edgecomb, South Bristol, Westport Island, and Southport. It is represented in the Maine House of Representatives by Rep. Holly Stover (D-Boothbay).

In the 2024 presidential race, Kamala Harris carried the district with 59.3% to 39% for Donald Trump. That was a Democratic margin of 20.3 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Janet Mills carried the district with 60.6% to 38.3% for Paul LePage. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried the district with 60.5% to 29% for Demi Kouzounas. On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the 52nd most Democratic of 151 State House districts.
