State House District 9 is one of Maine’s 151 State House districts, as drawn in the 2021 redistricting plan and in effect since the 2022 election. Its population was 8,849 in the 2020 Census.

It takes in 10 places, the largest of them Calais, Baileyville, Eastport, Perry, and Indian Township. It is represented in the Maine House of Representatives by Rep. Arthur Mingo (R-Calais).

In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump carried the district with 54.1% to 44.3% for Kamala Harris. That was a Republican margin of 9.8 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Janet Mills carried the district with 50.5% to 46.6% for Paul LePage. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried the district with 45.7% to 41.3% for Demi Kouzounas. On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the 65th most Republican of 151 State House districts.
