Eastport is a city in Washington County, Maine, incorporated in 1798, a city since 1893. It has an estimated 1,285 residents (2025), compared with 1,288 in the 2020 Census.
It is part of Congressional District 2, State Senate District 6, State House District 9, and County Commissioner District 2, in the Downeast region.
In the 2024 presidential race, Kamala Harris carried Eastport with 57.6% to 39.4% for Donald Trump. That was a Democratic margin of 18.2 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Janet Mills carried Eastport with 64.5% to 33.2% for Paul LePage. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried Eastport with 54.7% to 30.1% for Demi Kouzounas. On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the 61st most Democratic of 504 towns.
