Hollis is a town in York County, Maine, incorporated in 1798 as Phillipsburg. It has an estimated 5,003 residents (2025), compared with 4,745 in the 2020 Census.
It is part of Congressional District 1, State Senate District 32, State House District 137 (60% of residents), State House District 138 (40% of residents), and County Commissioner District 3, in the Western Maine region.
In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump carried Hollis with 54.8% to 43.2% for Kamala Harris. That was a Republican margin of 11.6 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Paul LePage carried Hollis with 51% to 47.5% for Janet Mills. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried Hollis with 47.1% to 41.9% for Demi Kouzounas.
