Minot is a town in Androscoggin County, Maine, incorporated in 1802. It has an estimated 2,866 residents (2025), compared with 2,766 in the 2020 Census.
It is part of Congressional District 2, State Senate District 18, State House District 90, and County Commissioner District 7, in the Lewiston–Auburn region.
In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump carried Minot with 60.6% to 37.9% for Kamala Harris. That was a Republican margin of 22.7 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Paul LePage carried Minot with 58.9% to 39.4% for Janet Mills. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried Minot with 45.6% to 45.2% for Demi Kouzounas.
