It takes in 8 cities, towns and plantations, the largest Camden, Rockport, Hope, and Owls Head.
In the 2024 presidential race, Kamala Harris carried the district with 68.1% to 29.8% for Donald Trump. That was a Democratic margin of 38.3 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Janet Mills carried the district with 69% to 29.3% for Paul LePage. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried the district with 62.8% to 23.3% for Demi Kouzounas. On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the 3rd most Democratic of 60 county commissioner districts.
