It takes in Cape Elizabeth. It is represented in the Maine House of Representatives by Rep. Michelle Boyer (D-Cape Elizabeth).

In the 2024 presidential race, Kamala Harris carried the district with 77.6% to 20.5% for Donald Trump. That was a Democratic margin of 57.1 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Janet Mills carried the district with 78.2% to 20.6% for Paul LePage. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried the district with 69.5% to 16.9% for Demi Kouzounas.
