It takes in Scarborough. It is represented in the Maine House of Representatives by Rep. Kelly Murphy (D-Scarborough).

In the 2024 presidential race, Kamala Harris carried the district with 64.9% to 33.4% for Donald Trump. That was a Democratic margin of 31.5 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Janet Mills carried the district with 65.5% to 32.9% for Paul LePage.
