State House District 18 is one of Maine’s 151 State House districts, as drawn in the 2021 redistricting plan and in effect since the 2022 election. Its population was 9,616 in the 2020 Census.
It takes in 16 places, the largest of them Dedham, Greenbush, Cherryfield, Clifton, and Otis. It is represented in the Maine House of Representatives by Rep. Mathew McIntyre (R-Lowell).
In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump carried the district with 63.4% to 35.2% for Kamala Harris. That was a Republican margin of 28.2 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Paul LePage carried the district with 60.9% to 36.9% for Janet Mills. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Demi Kouzounas carried the district with 49.4% to 41.5% for Angus King (Unenrolled). On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the 12th most Republican of 151 State House districts.
