In the 2024 presidential race, Kamala Harris carried Hancock County with 54.7% to 42.9% for Donald Trump. That was a Democratic margin of 11.8 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Janet Mills carried Hancock County with 57.1% to 41% for Paul LePage. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried Hancock County with 54.8% to 32.3% for Demi Kouzounas. On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the 4th most Democratic of 16 counties.
