State House District 36 is one of Maine’s 151 State House districts, as drawn in the 2021 redistricting plan and in effect since the 2022 election. Its population was 9,371 in the 2020 Census.

It takes in Hampden and Newburgh. It is represented in the Maine House of Representatives by Rep. Kimberly Haggan (R-Hampden).

In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump carried the district with 50.4% to 47.4% for Kamala Harris. That was a Republican margin of 3 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Paul LePage carried the district with 50.4% to 48.2% for Janet Mills. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried the district with 49.7% to 39.4% for Demi Kouzounas.
