It is part of Congressional District 2, State Senate District 10, State House District 36, and County Commissioner District 2, in the Greater Bangor region.
In the 2024 presidential race, Kamala Harris carried Hampden with 49.6% to 48.3% for Donald Trump. That was a Democratic margin of 1.3 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Janet Mills carried Hampden with 50% to 48.6% for Paul LePage.
