State House District 66 is one of Maine’s 151 State House districts, as drawn in the 2021 redistricting plan and in effect since the 2022 election. Its population was 8,713 in the 2020 Census.
It takes in Oakland, Smithfield, Mercer, Starks, and Sidney. It is represented in the Maine House of Representatives by Rep. Robert Nutting (R-Oakland).
In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump carried the district with 54.4% to 43.4% for Kamala Harris. That was a Republican margin of 11 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Paul LePage carried the district with 52.2% to 46.1% for Janet Mills. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried the district with 48.8% to 41.2% for Demi Kouzounas. On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the 48th most Republican of 151 State House districts.
