State Senate District 4 is one of Maine’s 35 State Senate districts, as drawn in the 2021 redistricting plan and in effect since the 2022 election. Its population was 40,998 in the 2020 Census.
It takes in 29 places, the largest of them Glenburn, Dover-Foxcroft, Dexter, Levant, and Corinth. It is represented in the Maine Senate by Sen. Stacey K. Guerin (R-Glenburn).
In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump carried the district with 66.2% to 32% for Kamala Harris. That was a Republican margin of 34.2 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Paul LePage carried the district with 62.9% to 35.2% for Janet Mills. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Demi Kouzounas carried the district with 51.4% to 39.8% for Angus King (Unenrolled). On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the most Republican of 35 State Senate districts.
