It is part of Congressional District 2, State Senate District 15, State House District 58, and County Commissioner District 3, in the Central Maine region.

In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump carried Belgrade with 53.8% to 44.9% for Kamala Harris. That was a Republican margin of 8.9 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Paul LePage carried Belgrade with 49.7% to 48.6% for Janet Mills. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried Belgrade with 51.8% to 41% for Demi Kouzounas.
