Georgetown is a town in Sagadahoc County, Maine, incorporated in 1716 as Georgetown-on-Arrowsic. It has an estimated 1,101 residents (2025), compared with 1,058 in the 2020 Census.
It is part of Congressional District 1, State Senate District 24, State House District 49, and County Commissioner District 3, in the Midcoast region.
In the 2024 presidential race, Kamala Harris carried Georgetown with 64.2% to 33% for Donald Trump. That was a Democratic margin of 31.2 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Janet Mills carried Georgetown with 63.7% to 35.1% for Paul LePage. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried Georgetown with 65.3% to 26.7% for Demi Kouzounas. On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the 52nd most Democratic of 504 towns.
