It takes in 2 cities, towns and plantations: Portland and Long Island.

In the 2024 presidential race, Kamala Harris carried the district with 80.5% to 15.6% for Donald Trump. That was a Democratic margin of 64.9 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Janet Mills carried the district with 85% to 13.7% for Paul LePage. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried the district with 64.1% to 21.4% for David Costello. On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the most Democratic of 60 county commissioner districts.
