State House District 121 is one of Maine’s 151 State House districts, as drawn in the 2021 redistricting plan and in effect since the 2022 election. Its population was 8,973 in the 2020 Census.
It takes in South Portland and Cape Elizabeth. It is represented in the Maine House of Representatives by Rep. Christopher Kessler (D-South Portland).
In the 2024 presidential race, Kamala Harris carried the district with 74.5% to 22.8% for Donald Trump. That was a Democratic margin of 51.7 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Janet Mills carried the district with 78.5% to 20.2% for Paul LePage. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried the district with 63.9% to 17.9% for Demi Kouzounas. On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the 14th most Democratic of 151 State House districts.
