State Senate District 31 is one of Maine’s 35 State Senate districts, as drawn in the 2021 redistricting plan and in effect since the 2022 election. Its population was 38,575 in the 2020 Census.

It takes in Saco, Old Orchard Beach, and Buxton. It is represented in the Maine Senate by Sen. Donna Bailey (D-Saco).

In the 2024 presidential race, Kamala Harris carried the district with 57.7% to 40.3% for Donald Trump. That was a Democratic margin of 17.4 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Janet Mills carried the district with 61.3% to 36.9% for Paul LePage. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried the district with 53.3% to 33.4% for Demi Kouzounas. On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the 10th most Democratic of 35 State Senate districts.
