It is part of Congressional District 2, State Senate District 4, State House District 27 (84% of residents), State House District 32 (16% of residents), and County Commissioner District 3, in the Greater Bangor region.

In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump carried Bradford with 72.4% to 25.5% for Kamala Harris. That was a Republican margin of 46.9 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Paul LePage carried Bradford with 69% to 28.8% for Janet Mills.
