Brunswick is a town in Cumberland County, Maine, incorporated in 1739. It has an estimated 23,055 residents (2025), compared with 21,756 in the 2020 Census.
It is part of Congressional District 1, State Senate District 23, State House District 100 (42% of residents), State House District 101 (41% of residents), State House District 99 (18% of residents), and County Commissioner District 3, in the Midcoast region.
In the 2024 presidential race, Kamala Harris carried Brunswick with 71.3% to 25.9% for Donald Trump. That was a Democratic margin of 45.4 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Janet Mills carried Brunswick with 74.6% to 23.8% for Paul LePage. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried Brunswick with 66.5% to 19.3% for Demi Kouzounas. On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the 20th most Democratic of 504 towns.
