Cornish is a town in York County, Maine, incorporated in 1794. It has an estimated 1,602 residents (2025), compared with 1,508 in the 2020 Census.
It is part of Congressional District 1, State Senate District 22, State House District 138, and County Commissioner District 1, in the Western Maine region.
In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump carried Cornish with 53.1% to 44.9% for Kamala Harris. That was a Republican margin of 8.2 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Paul LePage carried Cornish with 52.4% to 45.4% for Janet Mills. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried Cornish with 45.2% to 43.3% for Demi Kouzounas.
