It is part of Congressional District 2, State Senate District 19, State House District 81, and County Commissioner District 1, in the Western Maine region.
In the 2024 presidential race, Kamala Harris carried Greenwood with 50.1% to 48.3% for Donald Trump. That was a Democratic margin of 1.8 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Janet Mills carried Greenwood with 51.4% to 44.9% for Paul LePage.
