It is part of Congressional District 2, State Senate District 4, State House District 27, and County Commissioner District 2, in the Greater Bangor region.

In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump carried Hudson with 69.6% to 29.3% for Kamala Harris. That was a Republican margin of 40.3 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Paul LePage carried Hudson with 65.5% to 33.2% for Janet Mills. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Demi Kouzounas carried Hudson with 55.4% to 35.6% for Angus King (Unenrolled).
