State Senate District 29 is one of Maine’s 35 State Senate districts, as drawn in the 2021 redistricting plan and in effect since the 2022 election. Its population was 38,673 in the 2020 Census.

It takes in South Portland, Cape Elizabeth, and Scarborough. It is represented in the Maine Senate by Sen. Anne M. Carney (D-Cape Elizabeth).

In the 2024 presidential race, Kamala Harris carried the district with 74.9% to 22.7% for Donald Trump. That was a Democratic margin of 52.2 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide. In the 2022 governor’s race, Janet Mills carried the district with 77.8% to 20.9% for Paul LePage. In the 2024 U.S. Senate race, Angus King (Unenrolled) carried the district with 65.2% to 18.1% for Demi Kouzounas. On the Partisan Electoral Alignment Index (Partisan EAI), it ranks as the 3rd most Democratic of 35 State Senate districts.
