It is part of Congressional District 1, State Senate District 24, State House District 53, and County Commissioner District 3, in the Central Maine region.
In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump carried Dresden with 52.7% to 45.6% for Kamala Harris. That was a Republican margin of 7.1 points, against a Democratic margin of 6.9 points statewide.
